Potential Symptoms

    • Venus 1500 crashes when attempting to modify playlist or when attempting to create new or edit content.
    • When attempting to modify playlist the following error occurs:
      • Nucleus log-in failed. The server is not available. The dialog cannot be displayed. Error: An unsecured or incorrectly secured fault was received from the other party. See the inner FaultException for the fault code and detail.
      • Object reference not set to an instance of an object. in Venus 1500 error logs.
    • When attempting to create or edit content the following error occurs:
      • An error occurred while logging in. SOAP security negotiation failed. See inner exception for more details.
    • The following events are present in event logs under applications:
      • The computer 'iesqmdata_setup0.sqm' preference item in the 'XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX' Group Policy Object did not apply because it failed with error code '0x80070002 The system cannot find the file specified.' This error was suppressed.
      • The computer 'Administrators (built-in)' preference item in the 'XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX' Group Policy Object did not apply because it failed with error code '0x80070534 No mapping between account names and security IDs was done.' This error was suppressed.
      • The computer 'iesqmdata_setup0.sqm' preference item in the 'XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX' Group Policy Object did not apply because it failed with error code '0x80070002 The system cannot find the file specified.' This error was suppressed.
      • The computer 'Administrators (built-in)' preference item in the 'XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX' Group Policy Object did not apply because it failed with error code '0x80070534 No mapping between account names and security IDs was done.' This error was suppressed.

      Cause

      • Group Policy is preventing connection from the local computer to the local SQL database.

      Resolution

      • Unknown, the person responsible for writing group policy will need to review to determine what policy is causing the computer from connecting to a local SQL database.
