Filters identify the data to output.  Users can filter by Leagues or by Teams. 

Steps

Set up inputs prior to setting filters.  See: Data Studio: How do I configure inputs for Out-of-Town?

  1. Log into the interface.
  2. Click on the hamburger icon in the top left corner to expand the left side menu. 
  3. Select Filters.

  4. Select Add Filter.
    1. Filter Type: 
      1. Scores by League will allow users to output by specific leagues  Examples of this would be American League or National League.
      2. Scores by Team would be useful for outputting all the teams affiliated with the home team.  
  5. Follow the steps in the interface to create a filter.  See animation of the process below:

  6. Click Create to save the Filter.  This can be later edited from the filter list if needed. 
  7. The filter will need to be applied when configuring outputs.
