The password is required for many configurations and operations, so setting your own password can help ensure system security.  See the Adam-6000 User Manual for details.

Steps

  1. Install the Adam/Apax.NET Utility.

    1. On Show Control, or another accessible computer in the Dak system, download and install the utility.  Link: http://support.advantech.com/support/DownloadSRDetail_New.aspx?SR_ID=1-2AKUDB&Doc_Source=Download

    2. Select the Administration tab.

      1. The Administration tab allows you to set the password for the selected ADAM-6000 module. To change the password, you will need to enter the current password in the Old password box and then enter the new password in the New password and Verify password boxes. 
    3. It is the customer's responsibility to keep this password.
