SportApp: How do I configure Stat Crew basketball plug-in?

Steps

Setup the Stat Crew Plug-in for the Basketball SportApp.

  1. From the main UI menu button, click on the Plug-Ins icon to launch the plug-in manager.

  2. Click on the Stat Crew basketball options to bring up the Stat Crew basketball settings.

  3. Input the necessary info to get stats to the Livebook and turn the plug-in on using the switch at the top of the dialog.

    • Instance Name: Stat Crew Basketball
    • Server Type: FTP  
    • Server Name: Stat Server (Example would be livestats1.espn.com)
    • Path: filename.xml (If the file is in a folder, it would be /folder name/filename.xml)
    • User Name: If needed
    • Password: If needed
    • Plugin Mode: Active
    • Replay Interval: 2500
  4. Press ok or apply to accept the changes.  When the settings window closes, the plug-in manager indicates that the plug-in was enabled. Like the Stat Crew settings window, it will switch on.
  5. Press save to close the dialog box.

Stats Feed Verification

Once the stat plug-in is enabled and it connects to the server the stats feed will show Data Ok in green. If there is a connection issue it shows error in red.

Stats Tab Verification

Click on STATS EDITOR (bottom row) to view the stats builder. The stat builder contains the Single Player, Single Team, Game period, player and team notes.

Player and Team Stats Verification

  1. To the right of the stats builder is the full box score that contains the player and team stats. It contains the player names, jersey #, positions, etc.

  1. The team stats tab shows similar info to that of the player stat.
