NovaStar: Only part of modules working in each cabinet during configuration

Potential Symptoms

  • Only part of modules working in each cabinet during NovaStar configuration

Environment

  • Product: Nova MCTRL 600, Nova MCTRL 660, NovaStar VX4S, NovaStar brand sender box and receiver  cards
  • Components: NovaLCT-Mars - configuration/ smart setting setup
  • Control System: Gold family or NPP Control using transmit common/open protocol, includes but not limited to DVN-4003, J Series, U Series, Q Series

Cause

  • module array is configured incorrect for the receiver card.

Resolution

1. Log in: How to log into the NovaStar NovaLCT-Mars Sender Box? '

2. In the menu, select User(U) -> Advanced User Login

3. Click the Screen Configuration button.

4. Click Next on the pop up dialog

5. Open the Receiving Card page(1). Click Smart Settings button (2).

6. Choose Option 1: Make the module on by smart settings, click Next.

7. Check whether the size of the module array is correctly set in the page of Smart Setting. - This will be modules connected to receiving card.

8. Click next through the smart setting steps. 

9. Under Save Module information, click complete.

10. Go to Receiving Card page, put in the correct cabinet size (in pixels), then click Send to Receiving Card button.

11. Select All Receiving Card, and then click Send. You will see the cabinets are able to show images correctly. This means the cabinets are ready to work.
