DMP-8000 is not following correct hold times because the content resolution is too large

Potential Symptoms

DMP not following correct hold time.
- For example, hold times should be 10 seconds on all content, one piece of content will hold for 15 seconds and the next will only hold for 5 seconds.
My creative content is not playing for the correct amount of time; it is actually playing for a shorter length of time on the Dashboard and the display than the actual image duration should be.

Cause

The piece of content that is only holding for 5 seconds has too large of a pixel resolution (i.e. 7960x3960) and is causing the DMP-8000 to spend 5 seconds or more scaling the content before playing it.

Resolution

Resize the content to the correct size for the display (i.e.320x160).

Notes:

When creating or resizing content we recommend not making the content any larger than 3x (three times) the pixel dimensions of your display. This means if your display is 48H x 112W, you will get the best quality by making sure the content that you import is no larger than 144H x 336W. Therefore, when importing content into the Venus Control Suite Media Library, using the exact dimensions of your display is preferred.
