Spare modules dimmer than display

Potential Symptoms

  • Spare module installed in display is dimmer than rest of display.
  • Panel adjust is unable to brighten spare to match the rest of display.

Cause

  • Display LEDs have temporarily brightened before natural dimming of the LEDs begins. Spare modules are at original factory settings; they will eventually reach the same state and blend in after use in the display. The time required for the modules to blend on their own depends on multiple factors and could take hundreds or even thousands of hours to occur. 

Resolution

  • Use panel adjust to lower the overall display intensity to match the spares.
    • If the display intensity needs to be lowered by 10% or more to achieve a match, send a spare module back to verify it is at the proper brightness for that particular contract.
