Potential Symptoms

  • RNDIS/Ethernet Gadget listed under "Other devices" in device manager.

Cause

  • Driver not installed.

Resolution

  1. Copy the driver file to the computer (will need to be unzipped).
  2. Open computer management.
  3. Locate the entry for USB Ethernet/RNDIS (may be listed under "other devices") and right click on it.
  4. Select Update Driver Software.
  5. Select the Browse my computer for driver software option and then browse for where the file was saved on the computer.
  6. Click Next through remaining steps to finish installing the driver.
