Galaxy, Single module has a vertical blank line, module logic chip failure.

Potential Symptoms

    One or more of the following Symptoms may be occurring but power and connections are good.

    • Discoloration in a module on regular content, due to one color missing.
    • A full column or line of LED's, in a single module, is blank in full color test pattern.Untitled.jpg
    • The blank line will be Vertical.
    • Issue follows module when swapped with a known working module.

    Environment

    • Galaxy

    Cause

    • Logic chip failure on the module.

    Resolution

    • Replace Module.

    Work Around

    • If no replacement modules are available, move module to end of signal chain to minimize the visual impact.

      • The end of the signal chain is either the right side of a single display or the right side of the mirror face on a 2v configuration.
      • Note:  Blank (empty) module may be available for some display types. On older displays this will be the best option, to send the modules in for repair & return.
