Changing the Module Baud Rate on the VFC

Modules are blank. How do I change the module Baud rate in the Vanguard Field Controller?

Environment

  • Product Family:  Transportation
  • Product:  VF, VX, VM, VM, VS
  • Component:  Module Baud rate setting
  • Control System:  VFC

Steps

  1. This optional setting serves two functions:
    1. As a troubleshooting tool due to signal degradation.
    2. To lower the module's Baud rate on larger than typical signs.
  2. From the Optional Display Configuration menu, press the Down Arrow button, then select Module Baud. The title sub header will display the current setting.

  4. From the Module Baud menu, press the corresponding number of the desired Baud rate. Press the Cancel button to go back to the previous menu. Selecting Default will set the Baud rate to the module's default Baud rate.

  6. After selecting the desired Baud rate, the screen will return to the Optional Display Configuration menu.
