Display Studio: How do I import buttons for my Quick Display Container?

Steps

Note:  In order to import buttons from another display within Display Studio, the two displays must have the exact same size and type (i.e. you cannot import buttons from a DMP/Video display to a M3/Galaxy display . One may run into this scenario when needing to change the IP on a Galaxy Display for the original default of 172.16.192.25 to an IP that works with the local network for RTD integration (e.g. 192.168.0.225).  Please note, it should be possible change the IP address for a display (display controller) rather than need to import all buttons and files from the display with the old IP address to that with the new one.

  1. If not already created, create a work space / pages / properly linked button containers.
  2. Go to the little orb in the upper left-hand corner of a container.
  3. Select Import Button(s).

  4. Select the messages from container/page/display that is desired.
  5. Press Import.

Using the above method can prevent having to manually recreating all buttons after changing the IP on a display.
