Scoreboard: What is the correct address for my LED scoreboard driver?
Topic
- What is the correct address for my LED scoreboard driver?
- What address should my drivers be set to?
- How to determine what address the LED scoreboard driver needs to be set to.
Environment
- Product: Indoor Scoreboard, Outdoor Scoreboard
- Component: Driver
- Control System: All Sport
Steps
- Determine what model scoreboard you have by following What model is my LED scoreboard .
- Use the following methods to determine the correct scoreboard driver address(es).
- If you are replacing a driver in a scoreboard that has functioned correctly before, Take note of the old driver address setting.
- Before removing the old driver from the scoreboard, look for an address plug in J19 and/or look at the dip/rotary switch settings and take a picture or write down the switch settings.
- If there is an address plug in J19, remove it from the old driver and install it in J19 of the replacement driver.
- Consult Appendix C of the All Sport 5000 Operation Manual, ED-11976.
- If there is more than one address listed, that means the scoreboard contains multiple drivers.
- Consult the Scoreboard Service Manual for your model scoreboard.

- Note: Sometimes finding the correct manual for your specific scoreboard can be challenging, as a general rule of thumb the address for a specific scoreboard model has remained the same over the years. Example: BB-2101 address is and has always been 17 regardless of scoreboard age.
- If you are replacing a driver in a scoreboard that has functioned correctly before, Take note of the old driver address setting.
