Unable to connect to IBootBar remotely, Wrong port configured

Potential Symptoms

  • Unable to connect to IBootBar remotely, but can access it locally through IBootBar Setup (iBB-SCU V1.X).

Environment

  • IBootBar

Cause

  • IBootBar not configured correctly for public access.

Resolution

  1. Via Computer on site, connect to the IBootBar via IBootBar setup.
    • Start -> All Programs -> Dataprobe -> IBootBar -> iBB-SCU V1.X.
  2. Search for and connect to the needed IBootBar.
    • Input the correct Username and Password for site, and press download.
    • It will prompt you again to verify the IP address and username and password. If correct click on download again.
  3. Once connected, make sure you are under the "Setup" tab along the very top.
    • Then once in the setup, go to the "Web Server" tab.
    • Verify this is enabled.
    • Also verify that the port is 82 (or 84 for secondary setups).
  4. Once changes have been made click on the "Connect" tab along the very top of the program.
    • Then select the upload button.
    • This will bring up another box with a check mark in the "Web Server" box or any other box where changes were made.
    • Press "Ok" to upload the changes.
    • Once upload click the "Reboot" button to make sure the changes take.
