Unable to change any prices on gas sign with new FLR-100 kit and new host driver

Potential Symptoms

  • Unable to change any prices on the gas price sign with new antenna & receiver kit as well as new host driver, even though all connections are correct, driver has power and the status LED is flashing as it should be.
  • One of more drivers show the line addressing on boot up but then is just hangs on that information, does not change,  unable to display price information.
  • RX Radio LED does not light up when the handheld remote buttons are pressed even though the remote address dip switches are set the same as the dip switches on the host driver.

Cause

  • Driver and/or antenna receiver card are grounding out against the back sheet of the display cabinet preventing communication, due to missing standoffs behind driver and/or receiver card.

Resolution

  1. Install standoffs behind the receiver card and/or driver.
  2. Power up the display.
  3. Set prices.

Note:  There is potential for damage to these components if display is powered up without the standoffs, if installation of standoffs does not correct issue, replacement of these parts may be needed.
