Cause

  • Both the MOXA cable and the j-box have screw terminals for a harness to connect to but neither end have screws. These terminals prevent the MOXA from properly seating in the j-box as is seen below.

Resolution

  • Get an additional patch cable or adapter to use as an intermediary attachment for these two devices.
    • The cable or adapter's technical terminology is "DB9 male to DB9 female."
