How do I program a workout using the pace clock function in the OmniSport 2000?

- I would like to program a workout or set into the OmniSport 2000. How can I do that?
Environment
- OmniSport 2000
- Fixed-digit scoreboard, message center, or video display
Steps
- Turn on the OmniSport, enter the time and date, then press [3] to select "Pace Clock." Make sure you have the Pace Clock insert in your OmniSport. If you don't have one, print page 249 of ED-13312, OmniSport 2000 Timing Console and Pro Software Manual.
- To start a pace clock (counts up to 60 minutes, then returns to zero) in lane 1:
- Press [EDIT 1].
Note: This can be done in any lane by pressing the appropriate edit button for that lane. - Press [ENTER] to select Step 1.
- Press [6] and then [ENTER] to select a pace step.
- Enter 60:00 and press [ENTER] to confirm the time.
- Press [CLEAR] to return to the home screen.
- To Program a Workout for Another Lane:
- Press [EDIT] for the lane you want to enter your workout.
- Press [ENTER] to select STEP 1 (or enter which step you would like to skip to).
- Press [NUMBER] that corresponds with the TYPE OF STEP you would like to enter (see below), or cycle through using [UP} or [DOWN] arrow keys.
- Enter the TIME OF EACH STEP for SWIM, REST, or PACE steps, then press [ENTER].
- Enter the NUMBER OF TIMES that step will be repeated for SWIM, REST or BEGIN CIRCUIT steps, then press [ENTER].
- REPEAT steps 2-3 as needed.
- When finished, press [CLEAR] to return to the home screen.
- Types of steps include:
Number Type Description 1 STOP Use to put a pause between different parts of a workout (i.e. between the kick set and the main set). It pauses the workout for that lane until you press < START >. 2 BEGIN CIRCUIT Use this before you enter a repeat. Then, enter the number of times you want that section repeated. 3 END CIRCUIT Use this at the end of a repeat. 4 SWIM Use this for a swimming step. 5 REST Counts down from the entered time, then continues on to the next step. 6 PACE Counts up to the entered time, then returns to zero and counts up again. It will perform this step indefinitely. For an example, if you would like to enter the following workout:
Warm-up: 200 choice
Kick Set: 6 x 50 kick on 1:00
Main Set:
{4 x 100 on 1:30
3 x {8 x 50 on :45
{:20 Rest
4 x 25 FAST on :40
You would want to program in:Step Type Time # of times Notes 1 SWIM 1:00 6 6 repeats of 1:00 (Kick set) 2 STOP Pause after the kick set to explain main set. Press START to resume. 3 BEGIN CIRCUIT 3 We are repeating the set 3 times 4 SWIM 1:30 4 4 x 100's on 1:30 5 SWIM :45 8 8 x 50's on :45 6 REST :20 1 Counts down from :20 7 END CIRCUIT This tells the computer to go back to Step 3 three times. After the third time through it will proceed to Step 8 8 SWIM :40 4 4 x 25's on :40 9 STOP Ends the workout
