Unable to open Venus 1500 v4 from start menu or desktop shortcut, Venus1500.exe process is already running

Potential Symptoms

  • When double-clicking Venus 1500 shortcut, the software will not launch and no errors or logo screens appear.
  • Software will not open when right clicking and selecting "open" either.
  • Software will not open via start menu as well.
  • When viewing processes in Task Manager, Venus1500.exe is running.

Environment

  • Venus 1500 v4
  • Windows 7 OS

Cause

  • Venus1500.exe process is running, but is not responding.

Resolution

  • Restart computer and attempt to open Venus 1500 v4 again.

Work Around

  • If computer restart does not resolve the issue:
    1. Open the "Task Manager."
    2. Click on "Processes."
    3. Select "Venus1500.exe"
    4. Click on "End Process."
    5. Attempt to open Venus 1500 v4.
