Three faced time and temp display only shows information on first display

Potential Symptoms

  • Three faced time and temp display only shows information on first display.
  • 2nd and 3rd display do not show boot sequence.
  • CL Tx light is off on 2nd display driver.
  • CAN RX light is a solid on for the 2nd display driver.

Environment

  • DF-1010 time and temp display

Cause

  • Short created by running a 2 conductor wire from signal out on 1st display to signal in on 3rd display in addition to having 2 conductor wire from signal out on 2nd display to signal in on 3rd display.

Resolution

  • Remove 2 conductor wire running from signal out on 1st display to signal in on 3rd display.
