GP4, "Host name could not be resolved" alert in Venus 1500 v4
Potential Symptoms
- Display will auto-detect in Venus 1500, however when selecting the display and clicking continue, the software moves to a checking authentication page, and while the bar is going across, you receive the error Host name could not be resolved.
- Manually creating the display using the DHCP name causes the alert The display's address could not be resolved.

Cause
- DNS or IP scheme issue.
Resolution
- Using a web browser, connect to the Daktronics Remote Display Configuration utility.
- Adjust the DNS server, or subnet on the display to match the DNS and subnet used on other machines on the local network.
