Venus 1500 v4 is crashing on startup, Daktronics Nucleus Server service is missing from Services

Potential Symptoms

  • When launching Venus 1500 v4, receive error:
    • Venus 1500 has encountered a problem and needs to close.
  • When viewing Venus 1500.log you view an error
    • Service Daktronics Nucleus Server was not found on computer '.'.

    • May also see Error Message: The specified service does not exist as an installed service
    • Service does not exist.png
  • Go to the following location to view the Log File:
    • Windows XP - C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Daktronics\Venus 1500 v4
    • Windows Vista\7 - C:\Program Data\Daktronics\Venus 1500 v4
