Content Studio: Using two different fonts types in the same text box, the font defaults to one of the fonts.
Potential Symptoms
- When previewing in Content Studio and using two different fonts types in the same text box, the font defaults to one of the fonts.
- When previewing the text gets bigger or smaller or bolds or unbolds.
Environment
- Venus 1500 v4.18
- Content Studio
Cause
There is an issue in the preview that is not keeping the font type on the text when in the same text box or in the main layout. For example, if the text is using Sans Serif 8 for the top line and San Serif 8 Bold for the bottom line, during the preview the text will be the same text, such as will all bold, or remove the bold from all. The issue is only visual during the preview and does not reflect out to the display.
Below is one of the visual examples of what happens between edit mode and preview mode. The font can be any type, and can either remove or add bold to the text.
- Edit Mode: The top row is using San Serif 8 and the bottom row is using San Serif 8 Bold.
- Preview Mode: The bold in the bottom row is removed.
Resolution
- Issue is being researched by engineering at this time.
Work Around
Due to the issue only being present during the preview and not appearing out on the display, the work around only helps with the preview.
- If using two lines of text, and each line of text will be different font types, put each line in a separate text box, and the previewer will recognize them as separate font types.
