Potential Symptoms

  • When trying to launch Venus 1500 v4, receive error "no disk in the drive please insert a disk into drive X." or  error\device\harddisk1\dr1
    • Drive could be any Letter, depending what the computer assigned to the CD/DVD Drive.

Environment

  • Venus 1500 v4
  • Windows thin client.

Cause

  • Cause is unknown. The software does not require a CD to run.

Resolution

  • Contact a local IT professional or your IT helpdesk for assistance.

Work Around

  1. Try inserting a CD or Disk into the CD/DVD Drive.
    • This can be any type of disk, such as a Music CD, a Program CD or even a Movie DVD.
  2. Launch Venus 1500 v4.
  3. Close Venus 1500 v4.
  4. Eject the Disk from the CD/DVD Drive.
  5. Launch Venus 1500 v4.
    • This should launch the software with out needing a CD anymore.
