DF-1010, Time and Temperature is showing all on or all off, does not show bootup

Potential Symptoms

  • Display has all digits on or all digits off.
  • Display does not show boot up when power is cycled.
  • Driver only has the CLTX LED lit, Power, CLRX, CANTX, and CANTRX LEDs are not on.
  • Temp Sensor is connected but does not have the power or signal LEDs on.
  • Disconnecting the temp sensor from the driver causes the driver to behave normally.

Environment

  • DF-1010/ DF-1011

Cause

  •  Suspect a bad temp sensor.

Resolution

  • Replace failed temp sensor.
