Galaxy time is off using Venus 1500 Version 3

Potential Symptoms

  • Galaxy time is off using Venus 1500 V3.
  • Display is showing the incorrect time.

Environment

  • Galaxy
  • Venus 1500 Version 3

 

Cause

  • Time has drifted since last message sent.

Resolution

  1. Open the Venus 1500 Display Manager.
  2. Select display and click Get Status.
  3. Check the time in the bottom left hand corner.
    • If the time is off proceed.
  4. Go to the Diagnostics Control View (Button with the two gears).
  5. Click on the Set time/Date button.
  6. Check the time below the Get status button to verify it has updated.
  7. Verify time has changed on the display.
Note: If the time is off due to Daylight Savings Time this may not fix the problem. If that's the case, close Display Manager and connect to the display using M2Config. From there go to the Clock section on the left, and check the Enable Daylight Savings Time box. Click the blue down arrow at the top to upload the configuration, the sign will restart and should have the right time. You can also check the time zone settings on that menu as well.
