How to clear cache in IE8, IE9, IE11, Firefox, Safari and Chrome

Potential Symptoms

Clear the cache in Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, and Apple Safari

Environment

  • Visiconn
  • Venus Prime
  • Venus Pro
  • Venus Elite

Resolution

Internet Explorer IE8, IE9 or IE11
  1. Click Tools -> Internet Options.
  2. Under Browsing history click Delete.
  3. Make sure the following items are checked:
    • Temporary Internet Files
    • Cookies
    • History
  4. Make sure Preserve Favorites website data is unchecked.
  5. Click Delete.
  6. Close Internet Explorer, then re-launch and log back in and try actions again.

 

Firefox Web browser

  1. At the top of Firefox window, click on the Firefox button (Tools menu in Windows XP) and then click Options.
  2. Select the Advanced Panel.
  3. Click Network tab.
  4. In the Offline Storage section, click Clear Now.
  5. Click Ok to close the Options window.
  6. Close Firefox, re-launch Firefox and log back in and try actions again.


  
Safari Web browser

  1. From Safari menu, click Empty cache.
  2. Click Empty from the "Are you sure…" prompt.
  3. Close Safari, re-launch Safari and log back in and try actions again.

Chrome Web Browser

  1. Click the F12 button on the top row of the keyboard.
  2. Click the Refresh button on the toolbar.
  3. Right click on the Refresh button and choose Empty Cache and Hard Reload.
  4. You can close the developers window on the right.
