Current price category is not showing in DM-100 when using Gilbarco POS, Set up price category in POS settings

Potential Symptoms

Symptom

  • Prices are not appearing on display
  • DM-100 - CURRENT PRICE CATEGORY does not show what LINE 1 is set as.

Cause

  • DM-100 is REV 5 or lower.

Environment

  • DM-100 Rev 5 
  • Gilbarco - Point of Sale 
  • (POS) Fuelight or DataMaster
  • Gas Price Display

Resolution

  1. Press MENU.
  2. Down arrow to "POS SETTINGS EDIT TO MODIFY".
  3. Press ENTER.
  4. Down arrow to the correct POS INTERFACE (i.e. Gilbarco).
  5. Press ENTER.
  6. You cannot see what line is selected beside your line one. It is just off the screen on Rev 5 and older. 
  7. You will have to follow the directions to blind set the LINE 1 PRICE CATEGORY; ||   LINE 1 .
  8. You may see "LINE 1 PRICE CATEGORY: 'down arrow' ".
  9. Press DOWN arrow until the LINE 1 is replaced by "NONE (up and down arrow)".
  10. Pressing UP arrow will select LINE 1 for you with out seeing it. 
  11. That step will set at Price Category 1 for LINE 1.
  12. Press ENTER to set Price Category and move to the next LINE.
  13. Repeat the steps for Lines 2 - 5.  If the LINE is not needed, set to NONE.
