How to put display into default test pattern from the MDC controller.

Environment

  • AF-3010
  • AF-3060 Galaxy displays
  • MDC controller

Resolution

  1. Power down the MDC controller.
  2. Locate the dip switches in between the two boards that make up the controller.
  3. Turn the number one dip switch that is in the "ON/Down" position to the "OFF/Up" position. Hardware address 0.
  4. Power up the MDC controller. Must power cycle controller when ever hardware address is changed to set it.
  5. Display will boot in default test mode.
  6. Must return MDC address to number one dip switch on when done and power cycle it to restore communication. Hardware address 1
  7. If site has multiple MDC controlled displays may need to set dip switch to number two on position also. Hardware address on MDC must match Hardware address in Venus 1500 software for proper communication.
