Work Around
Possible solution for computers using USB-to-serial adaptors:- Determine what comm port
- the customer is trying to use to connect to the OmniSport 2000 console. Right-click My Computer, select Manage then Device Manager and ensure that comm port
- exists.
- Use another computer to set up the software to use that comm port number.
- Navigate to "C:\Program Files\Daktronics\OmniSport Pro\Swimming\" and copy the "PortCfg.dat" file from YOUR computer to the same folder on the customer's computer, for a WinXP machine.
- Open the software and it should now run without error.
For Temporary Operation
- The decision has been made to sunset the OmniSport timing System.
- No new orders are planned, existing systems have up to a 7-year service plan.
