TNMC (Team Name Message Center): lags during operation. May take 30 minutes to turn on.

Potential Symptoms

  • TNMC consistently takes excessive time to boot up.  The rest of the scoreboard operates correctly.

Environment

  • FB (LED)
  • AS-5000
  • Fiber
  • TNMC (MDC Style)

Cause

  • Fiber to Current Loop card (inside scoreboard) is only outputting 8.7 VDC to the scoreboard signal input.

Resolution

  • Replace the Fiber to Current Loop card/Transformer (24VAC Secondary) box.  If the transformer is outputting correctly, you will only need to replace the card.

Work Around

  • Bypass the fiber run and go direct to the scoreboard with hardwire.
