Digit and Price Displays: How to change IP address on Lantronix XPort DF-2053 and DF-2052 Display

Environment

  • DF-205x Display
  • Lantronix Ethernet Port
  • Laptop computer
  • Ethernet cable

Resolution

  1. Download Lantronix Device Installer from lantronix.com.
  2. Connect your Ethernet cable to your computer, & to the DF display.
  3. Turn the computers wireless switch to the "OFF" position.
  4. Open Device Installer.
  5. Click Search.
  6. The Device should populate in the box if found.
  7. You will have to change your IP address of your laptops ethernet connection to a similar IP of the one that was found.
  8. Double click on the device.
  9. Click on Assign IP above once device is selected.
  10. Follow the guide walking you through how to change the IP address.
  11. Verify the IP address changed by searching for the device again and pinging the device.
