How do I configure an AF-3500 series display in Venus1500 V3?

Environment

  • Galaxy
  • AF-3500, AF-3550
  • Venus 1500 Version 3

Resolution

  1. Open Venus 1500 V3 software.
  2. Click on Venus 1500 Administrator.
  3. Click on Edit and Display Wizard in drop-down.
  4. Click Manually create a display radio button, the click Next button.
  5. Click on Create a new configuration radio button, then click on Next button.
  6. Select controller type:  Version 3.
  7. Select Product Family:  For a monochrome display select Galaxy (LED) and For an RGB display select GalaxyPro (LED), then click on Next button.
  8. Enter proper Height (pixels) and Width (pixels) and select Color Depth (for monochrome, select Mono 64), then click on Next button.
  9. Click on Create a new network resource radio button, then click Next.
  10. Choose Network Type from drop down menu and click on Next.
  11. Depending on what network type was selected, choose appropriate COM port (Direct), Modem (Dial-up), or enter Address (TCP/IP).  Click Next.
  12. Choose time zone from drop-down menu and DST (Daylight Saving Time) if desired.  Click Next.
  13. Click Finish radio button, the Next.
  14. Click Finish button.
