Analog clock is running fast or slow, Not synced properly.

Potential Symptoms

  • Clock is running fast/slow by a few minutes.
  • Analog clock time doesn't match the controller time.

Environment

  • Product Family: Sports Product
  • Product: DA-110x-y analog clock.  Where x equals model type and y equals clock diameter.
  • Component:
  • Control System: 99B-MI controller

Cause

  • Not synced properly
  • Wind moved arms 

Resolution

  1. Hold ENTER key for 5 seconds to access User Mode.
  2. First confirm the Time is correct on the controller and adjust if needed.
  3. Then you need to tell the controller where the clock hands are currently.
  4. Scroll down until "Enter Hand Pos" is found, read the current time showing on the analog clock, then press ENTER.
    • Clock hands will not move while this menu is displayed.
    • This menu will not "time out" or shut off, so user has time to go outside building to view clock if necessary.
  5. Enter the current position of the clock hands by using the UP/DOWN arrows and the ENTER key to move between Hours and Minutes.
  6. When done, hold "CANCEL" key for 5 seconds to exit menus and allow 99B-MI to reset clocks to self-correct the time.
    • If the clock is less than 2 hours fast, the hands will stop until the correct time is reached.
    • If the clock is more than 2 hours fast, the minute hand will slowly tick ahead until the correct time is reached.
  7. The display will alternate between "Correcting Clock Hands at:" and the actual time and date information while the clocks are being updated.
  8. Verify the Analog clock now corresponds to the controller time.

For Temporary Operation

In the event that the time is off on the 99B-MI controller as well, you may need to adjust the clock time on the controller. This cannot be adjusted if GPS mode is turned on. See manual for more details: 99B-MI User's Manual.
