Receiving a C++ Runtime error when trying to use Venus 1500 v3 software
Potential Symptoms
- Receiving C++ Runtime error when trying to launch any part of Venus 1500 v3 software: Display Manager, Message Studio, Schedule Studio or Administrator.
- No display show in Display Manager for one user, but when logging into another user you can see the displays.
- Administrator could see displays but other uses could not.
- When connecting to a Display in Display Manager, you would get a C++ Runtime error.
- Added a new user to PC and unable to launch Venus 1500 v3 and getting C++ Runtime Error.
Environment
- Venus 1500 (3.12)
Cause
- The Venus 1500 v3 software install lacks proper user rights, access or is corrupted.
Resolution
Step 1: Re-register the V1500 Server.
- Follow article How do I re-register the V15Serv.exe for Venus 1500 v3? DD2022163 and re-register V15Serv.exe.
Step 2: Give full rights to all proper folders.
Step 3: Perform a Repair on Venus 1500 v3.
