How to Start and Stop a Test Pattern on Galaxy Message Center (M2 & M3 controller based) right at the controller board

Resolution

Start the Test Pattern
  1. Power down the controller. 
  2. Locate the rotary dials on the controller board and make note of the current settings.
  3. Set both the UPPER and LOWER rotary dials on the controller to 0.  When set to address 0 the sign will not communicate with the software.

  4. Power up the controller and it will run the default test pattern.
Stop the Test Pattern
  1. Power down controller.
  2. Return hardware address to the original settings for proper communication.
  3. Power up the controller.
