Potential Symptoms

  • Unable to interface the Sapphire with the DM-100 but able to override POS and manually change prices from the DM-100.
    • DM-100 port monitoring does detect incoming signal but the data on the readout is the same regardless of what data is sent.
    • When doing a continuity test on the POS signal cable, the test was indicating continuity but it was inconsistent...the beep would be in and out.

Environment

  • FLR-1500 or FLD-2000

Cause

  • Excess plastic covering wires in RJ45 end of signal cable causing inconsistent signal.

Resolution

2. Reconnect to POS unit.
3. Try to change price again to verify communication.
