SQL Server: When trying to fix corrupt database and remove the SQL Server we get a WMI Error

Potential Symptoms

When trying to manually install the SQL Server, fix a corrupt database and/or remove the SQL Server you will receive a WMI Error

The SQL Server System Configuration Checker cannot be executed due to WMI configuration the Machine 'Computer Name' Error:2147749896

Environment

Scheduling

Error "The SQL Server System Configuration Checker cannot be executed due to WMI configuration on the machine HP-NB Error:70347 (0x112cb)"

Cause

The Windows WMI Configuration on the PC is not configured correctly or accessible for the SQL Server to be installed.

Resolution

This is a non Daktronics related error. Daktronics cannot work on WMI issues/errors or provide support or service. This can not be repaired by Daktronics and we hold no liability for the listed solution or Microsoft Articles provided in the Work Around.

There is a workaround but will not be performed by Daktronics or any of its affiliates. If this workaround does not work or damages the End User PC, we hold no responsibility for damage nor back up this workaround.
