Can't get RC-100 to communicate with base station

Potential Symptoms

  • RC-100 will not communicate with the base station installed in the scoreboard or on the price sign.

Environment

  • Product Family: Sports Product, Digit and Price Displays
  • Product: Wireless scoreboard
  • Component: RC-100 with Base Station, FLR-500
  • Control System: RC-100 handheld remote

Cause

  • Function or Channel switches not set correctly on the RC-100 base station.

Resolution

  1. Power off the RC-100 handheld controller(s).

  2. Open the RC-100 base station.

  3. If this is a replacement base station, match both dials to the position of the old base station that was removed from the display.

  4. If this is an old base station: consult ED-15133, RC-100 Manual to make sure you are using the correct function.

  5. Remove power from the base station (or scoreboard), wait 30 seconds, then reapply power.

  6. Turn handheld back on and connect to base station. Make sure to double-check you are using the correct channel. Note: Make sure you are more than 10 feet away from the base station when using the RC-100. If the RC-100 is too close to the base station, it will not connect.
