TriCaster: Display is showing the TriCaster monitor screen, Daktronics Sport Star Live, SSL

Potential Symptoms

  • Sports Star Live (SSL) display is showing the TriCaster monitor screen.

Environment

  • VLINK 1500
  • Venus 1500 V3
  • SSL
  • TriCaster Studio, TC-360

Cause

  • The display is not setup to extend on the second monitor and VGA output in the TriCaster is not setup for VGA 640 x 480: 4:3 VGA.

Resolution

  1. Close TriCaster and select to go into Admin, this will take you to the desktop.
  2. Right click on the desktop and go to properties.                                                                                                              Display 1.PNG
  3. Go to the settings tab and change Display to 2 monitors                                                                                dual screen.PNG
  4. On the second monitor check the "Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor" button.
  5. Click Apply and OK. This will change the screen on the SSL display to a grey screen.
  6. Open up TriCaster Studio again.
  7. Depending on the type of TriCaster on the bottom tabs there will be either an "external" or "VGA output" tab. Click on the tab.
  8. You will need to select 640 x 480 4:3 VGA as your output.
