No communication between computer and signal converter, Failed serial port
Potential Symptoms
- Unable to connect to the display using Venus 1500 software or the M2Config utility.
- Loopback test on end of serial cable or directly out of the com port fails.
- HyperTerminal will not open up the com port.
- Com port shows it is enabled but the transmit light (TX) on signal converter or J-box does not flash when trying to connect.

Cause
- No data coming out of serial COM port on computer/laptop.
Resolution
- Use different COM port on computer or Repair or replace computer com port.
For Temporary Operation
- Install and use USB to serial adaptor, recommend Moxa cable A-2221.
