Galaxy display is blank, No communication, No heartbeat, No boot up, Controller failure

Potential Symptoms

  • Display is completely blank with no blinking pixel in the bottom right corner of the display (heartbeat).
  • No start up sequence when power is cycled.
  • Computer is not connecting / unable to communicate to the display / unable to get status back from the display.
  • Indicator lights on the controller are not functioning properly (possible scenarios below):
    • No LEDs lit on the controller, even though the controller is getting the proper voltage (10-12VAC) from the transformer.
    • DS4 RUN LED is off, on steady, or may blink rapidly (normal state is flashing about once per sec, like a heartbeat).
    • DS5 PROG LED (Program) is not lit or may blink (normal state is on solid).
    • DS3 RST LED (Reset) lit or flashing (normal state is off).
  • Controller may lose configuration settings after a power cycle.
  • Display be stuck in continuous / rolling reboot. 

Note: On primary mirror setups, both faces are blank.
