Cause

Possible bad fan blanking the whole display due to a thermal shutdown.  Line receiver will blank display if not all fans are 100% fully operational and able to successfully cool the display.  

Resolution

  1. Flip switch 7 to the ON position to run test pattern, if no change and still have blank display continue
  2. Verify line receiver's DS6-DS13 diagnostic LEDs are all lit per, if not the whole display can be blank due to 1 or more failed fans
  3. Get access to fan controller, possibly to the right of line controller
  4. Verify diagnostic LEDs on fan controller DS4-DS10 (LED-ON = fan good | LED-OFF = fan not present | LED-BLINKING = fan failure)
  5. Fans can still be spinning but if they are below the RPM threshold will also be considered failed and not cooling the display properly
  6. Replace failed or failing fan to allow the line receiver to come out of blank state due to protecting components from thermal overheating
