FL-3000/4500: How do I Adjust Dimming Modes Using a DM-100?

How to adjust the dimming modes using a DM-100 on an FL-3000/4500 display.

Steps

  1. Press the 3 button that says DIMMING on the DM-100.
  2. Automatic will allow the display to change the dimming (brightness) dynamically using a light sensor in the display. The current dimming level will be shown when selected.
  3. Manual allows you to set the dimming level manually. Please note: Once set, this value remains the same regardless of the light level detected at the display.
    1. After selecting Manual the DM-100 will allow you to set the Intensity of the dimming using the Up and Down arrows. Press Enter to set the Intensity.
      1. The Intensity can be set between 01-63, with 63 being the maximum dimming.
  4. Blank Sign can also be selected from the Dimming menu.
    1. Press Enter to blank the sign, press Clear to leave the sign on.
    2. When in Blank Mode, the digits on all of the displays will turn off and only the decimal will be lit.
    3. To turn the sign back on, first press the DIMMING key, and then press ENTER.
    4. To leave the sign blank, press CLEAR.
