VS6/VC6/VT6 with Embedded DMP-5050/5060; VIP Run LED Not Lit; Run LED Peripheral Not Configured

Potential Symptoms

  • DMP Power LED is lit
  • DMP Run LED is flashing
  • VIP Run LED is not lit
  • Able to communicate with VIP with no issues

Environment

  • Product: VS6, VC6, VT6
  • Component: Embedded DMP-5050/5060, VIP-51X0
  • Control System: Vanguard V4 Professional, Vanguard V4 Standard

Cause

The Run LED Peripheral is automatically removed from the VIP's configuration when the NTCIP Service is enabled on the DMP.

Resolution

  1. Login to the VIP web interface.
    1. For assistance accessing the VIP web interface, please contact Daktronics Technical Support.
  2. Select the Peripherals tile from the Dashboard.
    1. Alternatively, select the Configuration (wrench) icon on the left-hand side of the screen, then select Peripherals from the list on the left-hand side of the screen.
  3. Select Run LED from the Add Peripheral dropdown arrow.
  4. Change Address Configuration to Manual.
  5. Set the Address to 4.
  6. Select Save.
  7. Verify VIP Run LED is now flashing.
