Content Shows Playing on DMP With Files Playing, Corrupt Files

Potential Symptoms

  • Content shows as being sent successfully in Display Studio but player window is blank
  • Content shows as playing in DMP Control Panel but player window is blank
  • Many files failing to open from file explorer, giving a media filetype issue in Windows
  • Syncback runs successfully to the DMP and files appear to be correct under properties
  • Able to play test patterns to display/processor with no issues

Cause

  • Files are corrupt, possibly an issue with the hard drive.

Resolution

  • If available, delete entirety of content folder and restore from another DMP or a backup drive. Else, delete content that is not working and re-add manually
