Other Maintenance items

Module calibration
Calibration is typically needed to balance the brightness of a new module put into an older display.
  1. Identify which display has the new module, and then locate the display on the System page.
  2. Click ENABLE under Mod Calibration for the desired display.
  3. Adjust the % intensity value for the desired module (modules come default set to 100% intensity).
  4. Once the module intensity reaches the desired brightness compared to the surrounding modules in the display, click DISABLE.
  5. To ensure the new value is properly saved, do not power down the displays for at least 5 minutes!
Install and Test POS Interface

If a POS interface kit was included with the order, connect the cable between the POS and the POINT OF SALE jack on the Fuelink 5 controller. Refer to the Fuelink 5 POS Interface Guide (DD5403695), provided with the interface kit.

  1. Go to Configuration > Product Names and select the protocol from the POS Type drop-down list.
  2. Enter the parameters to map the product names to POS prices.
    • Some POS types will automatically configure the POS parameters.
  3. If the selected POS type cannot send cash/credit pricing for the same product, configure two identical products but with a POS Offset on the duplicate.
    • Refer to documentation provided with the specific POS interface for more information.
    • Instruct the customer to send a price update from the POS, and then go look at the displays to verify the prices were correctly updated. Be sure to revert back to correct prices in a timely manner.
