Topic

  3. Click Configure.
  4. In the Configure window, set the below settings:
    1. Input Port:  COM# - Select for the 9-pin that will connect the computer the program is on to the Fire Alarm Interface.
    2. Output Port:  Follow the following notes to determine the UDP port that will be used.
      1. NOTE: if using in conjunction with a VP-6000 and not running in Dak Alpha mode, use port 1337 instead so that you can script commands to change the look package to the DMP Fullscreen as well as trigger content when a fire alarm event is triggered.
      2. NOTE: if using port 27000 with DMP-8000s version 8.40+, create a copy of ctrl_udp27000.dsrc to the data folder and/or a custom dsrc will need to be created for the 8000 to know which port to have open to listen to the GPI interface.

  10. Click OK.
  11. Either OK if done, or click Add to add another line for another player/content that is different from above as needed. (Add lines for VP-6000 control if required to change the look).

  15. To test messaging to the displays:
    1. Open Data Monitor or DakTerm to monitor the Output UDP port from the Configure window.
    2. Short the appropriate pins of the Terminal Block, (TB) (test through Fire Alarm Interface) or 9-pins (test bypassing Fire Alarm Interface) connected to the Input Port setup and testing from the Configure window.
      1. For Input 1:  TB pins 7 and 8 = 9-pin Pins 8 and 7
      2. For Input 2:  TB pins 5 and 6 = 9-pin Pins 6 and 7
      3. For Input 3:  TB pins 3 and 4 = 9-pin Pins 1 and 7image.pngimage.png
  16. In Data Monitor or DakTerm, look for filename(s) of content from Set to show on short and filename(s) of content from Cleared to show on open.
