Creating a Starting Lineup graphic based on templates.

👉Before starting, you will need to know the following: (This is depending on the template style being used)
  • Names of starters and positions
  • Headshots of the starters
  • Date of the game

Steps

Process: 

Getting started in FrameWrx

Log in:  FrameWrx: How do I log in to my account.

  1. Create > Create from Template.
  2. Search "starting" or whatever the name matches the Next Home Game templates.  
    • There will be multiple styles for the Starting Lineup graphic.  Pick the template style that matches your school's design.
  3. Choose Custom Size.

Create Settings

  1. Video
  2. Custom Size
  3. Enter the Width and Height of your video display. 
  4. Click the Select and Continue button.
In the FrameWrx editor

Set Title

  • The example keeps the original title but includes the date and sport. 
  • Style 1 - Starting Lineup_10-06-2023 VB

Edit the player text fields.

  1. Locate the position field and update the appropriate name above each one.  (The position order should remain the same.)  Starting Order Reference
  2. Click on the first player's name field. 
  3. Change the name to match the first player in your lineup.
    • For consistency, keep the font, size and other formatting of the original text. 
  4. Repeat to add all the players. 
  5. Edit numbers if they are included in the starting lineup style.
  6. Update any remaining text boxes.  This would be depending on the starting lineup style.  They could be for the game date, opponent, etc.

Edit the Headshots. 
  1. Select a headshot.  
  2. Click Replace. 
  3. On the left side menu, navigate to Images > Brand Photo.  This opens the brand library.
    1. Filter the library using the Headshot tag if necessary. 
    2. Locate the headshot and select. This will replace the image with the one in the template.
  4. Repeat to add all the player headshots.

    Verify/Preview  
    1. Be sure the text and logo are lined up correctly.  
    2. Click on the blue play button.  This will replace play the scene to make sure the animation works as expected.

      Export the Project.
      1. Click on the blue Export button. 
      2. Enter the export parameters.
        • This will save the file to your local computer's Downloads folder or default location. 
        • File Name: This will be the name of the exported content. 
        • Format should be .mp4.  
      1. Click Download

        Add the file to the control system.
        1. Transfer content to your DMP (Digital Media Player).  Follow: DMP-8000: How do I import graphics into DMP-8000?
        2. Configure a button in Display Studio so it can be played on the display when needed.  This can also be scheduled to play in systems using Venus Control Suite for scheduling. 

          Starting Order Reference

          Basketball starting order by position or by jersey number order. 

          1. Point Guard.
          2. Shooting Guard.
          3. Small Forward.
          4. Power Forward.
          5. Center.

          Football

          Offense:

          • QB -- Quarterback
          • RB -- Running back
          • C -- Center
          • LG, RG
          • LT, RT
          • TE -- Tight end
          • WR -- Wide receiver.

          Defense:

          • DT—Depending on formation a team may have up to two defensive tackles. If there is only one, they are called the Nose Tackle (NT)
          • DE—A team has two defensive ends.
          • LB—A team can start three or four linebackers based on formation.
          • SS -- Strong safety
          • FS -- Free safety
          • CB—Teams usually start two cornerbacks.

          Special Teams:

          • K -- Kicker
          • P -- Punter
          • PR -- Punt returner
          • KR -- Kick returner
          • LS -- Long snapper

          Volleyball starting order by position or by jersey number order.

          1. Outside Hitter (OH)
          2. Outside Hitter (OH)
          3. Middle Blocker (MB)
          4. Middle Blocker (MB)
