How do I configure and operate a split scoreboard setup using the All Sport Pro?
Topic
- How do I configure and operate a split scoreboard setup using the All Sport Pro?
Environment
- Product: All Sport Pro UX
- Components:
- Control System: All Sport Pro Suite
Steps
- Ensure you have the necessary hardware required for this operation. The end user should have been provided with two separate All Sport Pro stands. One labeled #1 config and the other labeled #2 config.
- Using the show control computer navigate to the All Sport Pro web interface and configure three score boards.
- In this example we have created a "Main" scoreboard that will control all scoreboards in the gym on broadcast group 1. This will be controlled by the #1 tablet stand. This is a typical "full court" setup.
- The other two scoreboards have been created for a "split court" setup. The MDP Network will always correspond to the tablet stand. In this example the North Scoreboard will output to scoreboards that are configured on channel 1 utilizing the #1 stand and the South Scoreboard will output to scoreboards that are configured on channel 2 utilizing the #2 stand.
- The Data Source (ERTD) will determine what port the All Sport Pro stand will send GIP data to on the network which can be used for dynamic data created in content studio or other similar applications.
- Ensure both All Sport Pro stands are turned off and Safari is closed on both iPads.
- In the All Sport Pro web interface on the Show Control computer, create a new game and select the scoreboard that has a MDP Network of 1. In this example it is the North Scoreboard.
- Once the game is open on the Show control Computer, leave it and disconnect from that game.
- Create another new game and select the scoreboard that has a MDP Network of 2. In this example it is the South Scoreboard.
- Once that game is open on the Show Control Computer, leave and disconnect from that game.
- Power on both All Sport Pro stands.
- Open the All Sport Pro web interface on the #1 stand's iPad and open the previously created game that corresponds to the proper MDP network. In this example we are currently using the #1 stand so we would select the North Scoreboard which has a MDP network of 1.
- Verify the appropriate scoreboard turns on.
- Open the All Sport Pro web interface on the #2 stand's iPad and open the previously created game that corresponds to the proper MDP network. In this example we are currently using the #2 stand so we would select the South Scoreboard which has a MDP network of 2.
- Verify the South Scoreboard comes on.
