Novastar: How do I save, load, and erase calibration files in a Daktronics display with NovaStar components?

Save, load, and erase NovaStar calibration files.

Steps

Sign in as an Advanced User

NovaStar: How do I log into and install software to use the NovaLCT-Mars Sender Box?
  1. PW = 666
  2. Select Screen Control - put a test pattern on display.
  3. Select Calibration Icon (You may need to double-click.)
  4. Select Communication Port/IP.
  5. Select the Correct Screen (if sender is controlling multiple screens.)
  6. Select Change to Brightness Calibration.
  7. Select Save.
  8. Select OK
To Save:
  1. Navigate to Manage Coefficients Tab.
  2. Select Save calibration coefficients to database. novastar save cal.jpg
  3. Select the Saved to new database radio button. 
  4. Click Create and browse to location for saving the file.

  1. Add a file name and click Save
  2. Click Next.
  3. Make sure Screen radio button is selected.
  4. Click Save.
    • this may take a while since file is being written to during this step.
  5. Once completed popup appears click OK.

To Load:

  1. Navigate to the Manage Coefficients Tab. 
  2. Select Upload coefficients.

  1. Browse on first one and locate file.
  2. Select Open.
  3. Select Next.
  4. Ensure Screen radio button is selected and hit Next.
    • This will read contents saved earlier.
  5. Click on the Stable Uploading radio button.

Upload (which will send calibration data to receiver cards)

  1. Once in receiver cards they are not actually saved until selecting Saved at this step.
  2. Click OK on popup.
  3. Click Return.

Erasing back to factory

  1. Navigate to the Manage Coefficients Tab. 
  2. Select Erase or reload calibration coefficients.
  3. Select Screen radio button.
  4. Select Erase.
  5. OK on popup.
    • This will take the screen back to a baseline standard.
