Venus Displays: How do I add a display.

Steps

🔽Use the arrows to open or collapse the following sections. 

Adding displays via the Venus App 
  1. Login to Venus Control Suite
  2. Navigate to the "Displays" tile on the left-hand side
  3. Select "Add new"

  1. Fill out the display configuration
    1. Title: This will be the name of the display (ensure the customer is comfortable with the name)
    2. Time zone: Enter the time zone of the customer
    3. Latitude, Longitude, and Description can be left blank
    4. Width and Height should be the width and height of the display
    5. Color Depth: Full Color
    6. Temperature Offset: 0
    7. Brightness: Automatic
    8. Metered Offset - No (unless told otherwise) 
  2. In the left-hand menu navigate to "Devices"
    • Select "Add new Device"

    Adding displays Venus Displays App

    ⚠️This action can only be performed by an Account Administrator.

    1. Log into Venus Control Suite.  See: Venus Accounts: How do I log in to Venus Control Suite?
    2. Open Venus Display App from the Apps Menu located in the top right of the VCS landing page.
    3. From the Configuration tab, select Add New.

    Fill out the display configuration.

    • Title: This will be the name of the display (ensure the customer is comfortable with the name)
    • Time zone: Enter the time zone of the customer.
    • Location: Add the city or region for the display.  This is used for weather and alerts. Venus Easy Drop Weather: How do I customize the location field in my weather feed?
    • Width and Height should be the width and height of the display.
    • Color Depth: Full Color
    • Temperature Offset: 0
    • Brightness: Automatic
    • Metered Offset - No (unless told otherwise) 

    Click Save.

    Associate the DMP or VIP to the display.


    General Steps: 

    1. Click on an existing or new display to Edit.
    2. Click on the Devices tab. 
    3. Click on the ➕ to add a new device. 
    4. Enter the Registration code and save.

    If the DMP does not appear in the unassociated device list. 

    1. Log into the DMP.
    2. Select the "config" menu on the left-hand side.
    3. Navigate to services.
    4. Verify the Media Management Server is Venus, Localhost, 8811 - Locally Hosted
